Rex

After dropping out of college due to paxil, Rex lives with his partner Val alone for a bit before moving into an apartment with their stoner friends Jay and Egan. She walks around in their pajamas a lot, collects bongs, and hates jeans and sticky hands. They love smoking weed and doing psychedelics.

Val Dog

Moving from downstate due to the prices, he traveled up to the north country to live with his partner Rex. He likes to skateboard and play piano. He often upcycles materials, and is very skillful with his hands in general. Kind of a band geek. He is constantly talking people's ears off, though his friends like to listen.

Jay

SPECIES: Boar Croc
SIGN: Capricorn

It's known around town as a queer and a menace, who's been caught shoplifting multiple times. Zhe smokes copious amounts of weed to manage hir mood swings. Zhe is an artist and enjoys taking warm baths. It was brought back to life from a fossil-like state.

Egan

SPECIES: Grizzly Bear
SIGN: Scorpio

Although he is fierce looking, Egan is just a big teddybear. Vy has all sorts of piercings that change often. He works many different minimum wage jobs, including at a grocery store and a carwash. They're a bit of a player, bringing different people back to the apartment often. Vy is also a huge grammar nerd who loves spelling.

Sprout

SIGN: Virgo

Sprout was raised deep in the woods where they still live. They frequently crash on their friends' couch, especially after getting too drunk. They are very paranoid and deal with ocassional bouts of mania. They worship the old forest gods as a form of meditation and are constantly peeping the horrors. They always wear sunglasses inside and at night, as well as mismatched clothing.

Aracnídeo

A bit of a burnout who works at an assembly line in town. In his free time however, zi conducts science experiments and research to free his boyfriend Sarsaparilla from his television. He is the downstairs neighbor of the other potheads.

A giant city-destroying kaiju from a faraway planet that now lives in the earth's solar system on the planet Pluto. Xe is convinced by the trash animals to not destoy the earth, and now enjoys going to earth to have smoke seshes with Rex, Egan, and Sprout.

Sarsaparilla

SIGN: Pisces

Created in the basement of the apartment complex and was later found by Aracnídeo. A romance blossomed between the two, who began dating soon after. It is helping Aracnídeo in his studies to find a way to extract it from the screen. He is a feisty little gunslinger whose emotions rise easily. He's very protective of his boyfriend despite being stuck behind the TV.

Weaver

The downstairs neighbor of Rex, Val, Egan and Jay. It loves to sew and do other crafts. Scuttle usually sees the potheads at underground shows where they will party together. It likes to have art days with Val and the others where they exchange patches. It will scavange for parts to use in its crafts. Scuttle is roommates with Guppy.

Guppy

Weaver's roommate and the downstairs neighbor of Rex, Val, Egan and Jay. A mischievous cat who likes to eat fish any chance they get. They're clever and sly, oftentimes getting themselves into trouble. Thay are a weed dealer who sometimes sells to the potheads.

The Pool Toys

The Matador

The Matador is part of an escort service of sentient and consenting multi-use pooltoys. Part of a raffle for his services, she was "won" by Jay, who forgot zhe even entered the contest. Zhe was reminded when The Matador showed up at hir door, to hir surprise. The Matador lives in a poolhouse with Captain and some other inflatable roommates. While big, he is very submissive and likes to be bossed around.

Captain

From the same service as The Matador, Captain is frequently visited by Rex at the poolhouse. He loves to service the mutt and will ocassionally smoke weed with the rest of the gang back at their apartment. It is a big fan of hypnosis and dumbification.
